About

DACOS is a utility that "Discovers Another Computer's Operating System".

Dacos is a lightweight active OS fingerprinting library, written in C, that combines simpler tests than nmap in order to get a fast & reliable answer about another computer's OS.

Although Dacos is an active OS fingerprinting utility, its metrics are more similar to those used in p0f, the well-known passive OS scanner.

Dacos comes combined with poc, a proof of concept tool that uses the dacos library.
